Produce Shares
Norman's Farm Market is dedicated to finding the best quality and biggest selection of local produce around the DC area. Our CSA members enjoy the flexibility of filling their own basket with their own choices from our broad array of fruits and vegetables. Included in our CSA membership is a weekly email newsletter filled with inspiring recipes, colorful anecdotes, and information about the farms. We stress value, flexibility, and convenience in our CSA shares.
Pricing. Our produce shares are available in two portion sizes:
- Full Share. $575.00 per Full Season (24 weeks). $200.00 per 8 week season (Spring, Summer, Fall). Designed for a household of four or two that cook frequently/vegetarians.
- Half Share. $345.00 per Full Season (24 weeks). $120.00 per 8 week season (Spring, Summer, Fall). Designed for a two person household.
Sample Boxes.Here are a few examples of how a full share may look throughout the season. The half share will be very similar in selection but contain approximately 2/3 the amount of product.
- Spring. 1 quart strawberries or cherries, 1 lb asparagus, 1 bunch spring onions, 2 lb high tunnel tomatoes, 3lb basket you-pick (zucchini, cucumbers, beets, potatoes), 1 lb bunch carrots.
- Summer. 8 ears corn or cantaloupe/canary melon, 2 lbs heirloom tomatoes, 1/2 peck of you-pick fruit (yellow & white peaches, donut peaches, plums, nectarines, apricots), 1/2 peck of you-pick vegetables (6 varieties of squash, 6 varieties eggplant, cucumbers, onions, peppers, potatoes, greenbeans, tomatoes).
- Fall. 2 heirloom fall squash or specialty cauliflower, 1/2 peck of you pick fruit (honeycrisp apples & other apple varieties, assortment of pears, concord grapes), 1/2 peck of you-pick vegetables (white sweet potatoes, yams, peppers, onions, brussels sprouts, radishes, turnips, squash).
